Circumcision is a surgical removal of foreskin. It is centuries – old procedure and has been done ritually in certain religions in the early life of a male child. The reason it has been practiced since centuries and still being done in modern era are the advantages of circumcision mainly reduced risk of infection and penile cancer.

In our country where majority of population follows Hinduism where circumcision is not ritually done in childhood, we see highest number of cases of infection of glans as well as foreskin and penile cancer. Also there are chances of pain during sexual intercourse or bleeding due to excessive force on foreskin while having sexual intercourse in men who are not circumcised.

The technology of doing circumcision has evolved through the time. Conventionally circumcision is being done with suture where there are more chance of postoperative pain and delayed recovery after the surgery.

ZSR circumcision is the latest evolution in circumcision management. It employs the disposable stapler which cut the foreskin in a precise circular manner and not in a zig zag fashion like with the conventional circumcision.

While performing ZSR circumcision the doctor will clean and sanitize your penis to ensure that you don’t get an infection during the surgery. Then we place the ZSR cap over the glans so that the glans does not get injured during the procedure. Once the doctor has confirmed the proper position then he fire the stapler and keep it tightly compressed for 30 seconds. In this time the foreskin gets removed and clips get applied to the foreskin.
